At the end of 2017 Oras Finland had a post in Facebook where we searched for a family to test one of our touchless faucet. We received a delightful amount of applications from which Grundströms, a family of four from Uusikaupunki, was selected as our test family.

Sanna, mother of the family, tells about her experiences of touchless faucets before test as follows:

“ I have used touchless faucets mainly in shopping centers, restaurants, service stations and hospitals. Experiences have been positive because faucet is easy to use, and since you don’t have to touch it, you avoid getting bacteria from the faucet. Another advantage is that the faucet starts and stops the water flow automatically without touching which makes it easier to wash for example very dirty hands.”

Family’s expectations

Sanna saw the test family recruitment post at Oras’ Facebook page and she tells that she wanted her family to participate to help reduce the water consumption and test the user friendliness of touchless faucet at home. She hoped that touchless faucet would reduce water consumption and that it would be suitable for family’s everyday use also in the future. For the test, they chose Oras Cubista 2814F touchless washbasin faucet.

Thanks to the touchless faucet you don’t have to think about the water consumption

Some time after the installation of the  touchless faucet, Sanna told us: “Touchless faucet is very easy to use and it’s nice to have both hands free. Faucet itself don’t get dirty when you don’t have to touch it to stop the water flow. We love our new faucet and learned to use it quickly”. The family likes especially the appearance of the faucet and the height of it, thanks to which it’s very easy to wash hands and face beneath the faucet. Another positive factor is that the water flow stops automatically.

“Before changing the faucet to the touchless, I did think a lot about our water consumption but now I feel that I think about it less since the water flow stops by itself after suitable time and, consequently, waste of water is reduced.” Sanna continues.

“I can recommend touchless faucet also to others”

After the testing period we asked if the family was willing to recommend Oras touchless faucets also to others.

“I warmly recommend touchless faucets also to others. We got used to it quickly and it was very easy to use.”

Sanna says and continues:

“We did pay attention to our water consumption also earlier so the water has not been running in vain. As a mother of this family, I pay extra attention to the water consumption!  I think we wash our hands as often as before, shower faucets are shut down when not needed and we try to get out of the shower as soon as possible. Now that we have a touchless faucet in our bathroom, it is easier to wash hands, as you don’t have to open and close the faucet. And if you want water flow to stop earlier, this is possible and easy to do also. We are very happy with our new faucet and want to keep it also in the future as it makes the everyday hand washing easy. Moreover, it looks good, I think the design is great.”
