Differences between Oras Shower panels

Oras shower panels are very popular all over the world in public places and they are very easy to install. By using Oras shower panels, up to 50% of the water consumption can be decreased.

Did you know that there are altogether 9 different models of Oras shower panels? Or, to be exact, three models but nine variations. It is very important to choose the right variation for the right place of use.

Let’s take a closer look on how these 9 variations of shower panels differ from each other.

The three main models are:

• Shower panel for pre-mixed water
• Shower panel with temperature regulator and hand shower
• Shower panel with temperature regulator

For each of these models there are three options for power sources. The different power sources are indicated in the Oras product number with F, FTW and FTX.

F = model with battery Lithium 2CR5 6 V

Primary locations of use: offices, small gyms and other medium sized semi-public spaces where the use of showers is moderate.

FTW = model with transformer (Oras number 199275). Maximum 4 shower panels can be connected to the transformer at a time.

Primary locations of use: public showers, schools, sports halls and swimming pools, saunas of housing cooperatives. These shower panels with transformer are the most popular choice for public spaces.

FTX = model with bus transformer 199501 or 199502. Maximum 10 shower panels can be connected to the bus transformer at a time.

Primary locations of use: public showers, schools, sports halls and swimming pools, saunas of housing cooperatives etc. 

Different transformers available for connection of multiple shower panels

199501 = Up to ten shower panels can be connected to this power source. Shower panels can be switched off at the transformer's ON/OFF switch for cleaning and maintenance operations. An automatic disinfection flush can be activated by an integrated switch. If there is a power cut, the transformer automatically turns off any shower panels that are on. Transformer installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

199502 = Up to ten shower panels can be connected to this power source. The shower panels can be turned off during cleaning and servicing by pressing the ON/OFF button. Also an automatic disinfection flush can be activated by pushing the button. If a power outage occurs, the transformer turns all open panels off automatically.

For the ON/OFF function and the disinfection flush, separate switches can be connected to the transformer.

The difference to 199501 transformer is that this transformer can be connected to the building automation system. It is also possible to send an error message relating to the bus transformer to the building automation system.
